Boulle to Debut at 24 Hours of Le Mans with DC Racing

Dallas, TX—  Former Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona Champion, Nick Boulle— of de Boulle, an independent jewelry salon in Dallas and Houston, has been confirmed as part of Jackie Chan DC Racing’s lineup for next month’s 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Boulle will join David Cheng, who claimed his first Le Mans podium as a member of the #37 crew twelve months ago, and Pierre Nicolet at the wheel of the team’s No. 33 Ligier JS P217 Gibson. Reigning IMSA Prototype champion Ricky Taylor will join Come Ledogar and former Le Mans GTE-Am class winner David Heinemeier Hansson at the wheel of the team’s No. 34 Ligier JS P217 Gibson, which is one of the Chinese team’s two auto-invite entries that will be operated by OAK Racing.

“To say that I am excited to be racing with Jackie Chan DC Racing at the 24 Hours of Le Mans is an understatement,” exclaimed Boulle. “Le Mans has a huge place in racing history and is one of the greatest single sporting events there is – period.”

This will mark Boulle’s first start in the French endurance classic. Sixty cars along with their drivers have been officially confirmed for this June’s 24 Hours of Le Mans at Circuit De La Sarthe. The race’s most competitive class, LMP2, features a mix of 20 Dallara, Oreca and Ligier cars, which Boulle will drive, each competing with 600 horsepower Gibson Technology 4.2L V-8 engines.

“The Circuit de La Sarthe circuit is daunting to say the least and it has a huge amount of history, but the team around me has experience that will be invaluable as I settle in.”

The Chinese racing team ascends from the astonishing victory and second place in LMP2 class and a double-overall-podium finish at Circuit de La Sarthe in last year’s race. Despite the disappointment of missing the 2017 FIA WEC championship title at the showdown in 6 Hours of Bahrain, the team strongly fought back at the 2017-18 Asian Le Mans Series clinching titles in both LMP2 and LMP3 class, which contributed to the two additional invitation for the imminent 24-hour race, on 16-17 June.

“I think the Ligier JS-P217 has made leaps & bounds with their Le Mans aero package for this race as well. Looking forward to having a good result for Jackie Chan DC Racing and representing in this racing classic.”

To make Boulle’s debut possible, de Boulle Motorsports partnered with several prominent companiesConcepta Labs, Dallas Auto Exchange, Hydro Carbon Exchange and Meridian Veterinary Capital. Boulle added, “I can’t wait to see what else this partnership leads to next.” In addition, to becoming a racing partner, the companies also receive a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of attending Le Mans with a VIP experience that only de Boulle could offer.
